Is the English Language Doomed?

The Oxford English Dictionary has been defining our language for the last 100 years, crazy right? For the 12 edition, The Oxford English Dictionary has recently taken on 400+ new words. Any guess at what words were included? Would you be surprised if I told you, "retweet", "noob", "woot", "sexting", "mankini", and "Jeggings" were just a few of them? You could definitely say this generation has created quite the colorful vocabulary but I'm still a little drawn back at "woot" and a handful of other words making it in.

Are there any words you think should make it in the next Dictionary update?

Google and Facebook... Who do you like? Will there be a winner?

Monster on the Runway

Just sat down with the ESEO Monster after an exciting afternoon at the Toni & Guy Hair Style and Fashion Show located at their brand new Academy in Scottsdale AZ. (8939 E. Indian Bend Rd 85250).

Let us start saying that these models were absolutely gorgeous thanks to the amazing talent of these hair dressers from the valley’s 4 Toni & Guy locations: Arrowhead Town Center, Chandler Fashion Center, Scottsdale Fashion Square and San Tan Village. The Monster even got the opportunity to get a shot with some of the models. The students and experts worked together with volunteer runway beauties impressing the invite only crowd. Toni & Guy even gave out a package deal worth over $250 to one lucky winner.

Thanks to Whitney Lounsbury and the team at the San Tan Village location located at the new San Tan Mall, the ESEO team and their families were treated like rock stars and look forward to future events.

All the clothes were provided by: Guess, Marciano, Namebrand Exchange, Chico’s, Franchesca’s, and Buffalo Exchange to name a few!

And if you are curious about becoming a hair stylist yourself – the Academy is now accepting applications and maybe we will see you next time!

Internet History Video

I saw this in my Google Plus today and wanted to share here as well. This was before Google and Yahoo and eBay. Sad to say I was not at this conference but I was making a living on the Internet in 1994....I guess that makes me an Oldtimer. ;-)
